SALOBREÑA is a beautiful and naturally landscaped location for a quiet and relaxing holiday. It boasts of a white hilltop location with the remnants of a Moorish castle from days of old in the midst of sugar-cane fields that are rich and fruitful.

Salobrena is just a short 2km away from the sea with little modern development that keeps its beach and surroundings undefiled. Hence, nature presides and beauty continues to exude freely. Its beach is unique with black sand; nevertheless, there are quite a number of hotels and chiringuitos at the seafront to the convenience of tourists.

Local Transportation

It is very easy to get to Salobrena from all over Spain as there are many local buses that ply the town frequently. They usually bring in loads of tourists to the town’s Plaza de Goya which is near to the tourist centre or turismo. This makes it very convenient for the tourists to get extra information and assistance as they alight from the buses. It is a good stopping point as tourists can easily make their way to the bus stop when they are ready to leave Salobrena.

Accommodation

There are enough places of stay in Salobrena. An easy walk from the town’s main avenue winds down to lead you to the beach with many pensiones and hostels available for rent. The accommodation is satisfactory and comfortable with the basic amenities like fans and cleanliness. These types of accommodation are cheap which makes them very attractive and popular. They get booked quickly especially during the summer. You will need to call in to book in advance.

There is also a campsite at El Sotillo near the town if you are interested to have a cheaper stay, more freedom and adventure. It is also close to the beach for your fun in the sun.

Local cuisine

One must try all the local fare when in Spain; Salobrena will offer many tempting and delectable local cuisine with very good ambience for a meal. There are many eating places called chiringuitos along the seafront for your choosing; they usually serve the tastiest seafood around with fresh catches from the Mediterranean Sea huren spanje.

You will find tapas, paella and beer flowing freely with plenty of locals and tourists enjoying their time at the seafront whether day or night; of course, the ambience is more vibrant at night. The many small restaurants along the coastal road offer many simple local but tasty dishes to whet your appetite.
